The airport caters both International & Domestic flights. It is situated 2 km West
of the city. Peshawar is one of the oldest cities in Asia and is the capital of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Not only does it serve as a link between Pakistan and Afghanistan
benefiting trade but it is rich in history and culture. The city includes historical
places like Qisa khuwani bazaar, Fort Bala Hisar, Gor Khatri, Namak Mandi as well
as some modern buildings. It has moderate climate and its production of silks, handicrafts,
cotton textile, footwear etc provide a stable economy. Public transport (taxis,
rickshaws etc.) are available at the airport connecting the city and many hotels
of various cadre are available for the travelers. The Airport operates nonstop round
the clock, 7 days a week.
